Last night, Star Jones Reynolds took her loud mouth on Larry King Live in order to defend her honor. On Tuesday—having been told that The View, ABC’s morning chat show, would no longer require her co-hostessing services—Star had announced her imminent departure from the kaffeeklatsch live on-air, ahead of schedule and much to the vexation of her patron, Barbara Walters. On Wednesday, an affronted Barbara informed her Viewers that “Star has known for months that ABC did not want to renew her contract and that she would not be asked back in the fall. … We hoped then that she would announce it on the program and leave with dignity. But Star made another choice.” Barbara had canned Star on the spot.

If you’ve read Lindsay’s recent interview for Harper’s Bazaar, you know she’s had her eye on a man who has been living in London. Lindsay and her mystery man were text-messaging “flirtatiouslyâ€? throughout her interview with Bazaar’s Merle Ginsberg at the Chateau Marmont. Ginsberg refers to the mystery man as a “young Hollywood heartthrob.â€? She writes, “He keeps staring her down and text-messaging her flirtatiously from just a few feet away.”

Troy actress Diane Kruger has found a new boyfriend in the shape of Dawson’s Creek’s Joshua Jackson. Photographers caught the pair together in Paris, where Kruger has a flat, earlier this month. The German beauty, who split from her husband, The Beach star Guillaume Canet, earlier this year, was apparently “dying to show Joshua around Paris”, said a pal. “He’s smitten and has been telling friends Diane’s like a breath of fresh air.”

Star Jones Reynolds was booted from “The View� Wednesday, one day after surprising ABC and Barbara Walters by saying on the air that she wouldn’t be returning to the daytime talk show in the fall.
Reynolds was quickly erased from the show’s opening credits, now down to three women from the usual five.
“It is becoming uncomfortable for us to pretend that everything is the same at this table,� show creator Walters. “Therefore, regrettably, Star will no longer be on this program.�
