AskMen.com: Is Dating Only Easy

If you take a look at some of todays sitcoms you’ll see a few common looking bloaks married or involved with gorgeous women. Is this realistic or is this because the majority of TV execs are average looking guys trying to live vicariously. Take Dennis Franz and Charlotte Ross from NYPD or Jim Belushi and Courtney Thorne-Smith.

“Remember the Julia Roberts-Lyle Lovett romance? (And she married him!) Or how about Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob? (Ditto for her!) How many times have you seen a knockout with a schnook and asked yourself, “How the hell did he manage to snag her?” And not all of these schnooks play in the band!”

Defensive Dating Class

Is your marriage falling part? Maybe it is because the person you married is different from the one you were dating.

?We should be mindful that [young troops] are away from home, sometimes for the first time,? said Maj. Franklin Swayne, co-founder of ?Don?t Date Stupid,? a class being taught at RAF Lakenheath, England.

The reasons for marrying badly, Swayne said, are classic: for money, security, lust or simply for companionship. Maybe there was a baby involved. Spouses who once loved each other now can?t stand each other. Maybe it?s even two people who belong to the same unit or work at the same duty station.

Some breakup recovery steps

Marisol Novak, columnist for the Orlando Citybeat, gives us some ideas how to muddle through a painful post breakup.

“… I cleansed my apartment of all remaining remnants of my hexed ex. This included a scrubbing of my toilet bowl with the “Jeb!” t-shirt Mr. Right Now insisted on wearing in my bed. I’ve never been quite so happy to polish the bathroom before. Of course, who could not enjoy swirling the governor’s name in sewer water while causing irreparable harm to my ex’s political beliefs and fashion faux pas?”

It’s OK to start flirting at work…

According to an article written by Andrea Minarcek, which was published in the
Cox News Service, office dating is no longer taboo.

One of the reasons for this shift is that people are spending more time in the work place and have less time to nurture relationships when there hours are 9 to 9.

“The office provides a pool of like-minded people that spend at least 40 hours a week together and share similar acquaintances, experiences and frustrations. Water cooler talk with colleagues is a non-threatening way to get to know someone without putting yourself on the market, and for better or worse, it seems inevitable that these office interactions frequently lead to more intimate and meaningful relationships.”

    Trump: Pragnatism and Prenups

If you ever feel there is to much romance in the air and feel like being the buzz kill I have one word for you…prenuptual?

It would be like inviting someone to a fantastic meal at a new restauarant and handing them a barf bag before the entrees arrive.

Few modern day topics inspire such swift fury — even from those who aren’t directly involved. Garden State (2004) - Delightfully Touching

I went to see this movie without much anticipation. I knew it worked its’ way through the Sundance Film Festival and I’ve enjoyed Zach Braff on Scrubs, but other than that I had no idea what I was in for.

I see my fair share of flicks but this film was rare for me in that I actually allowed myself to laugh out loud in the theatre, while minutes later shed a few tears.

Braff demonstrated the ability to create some visual flair and at the same time endear the characters the audience.
