Chelsy is currently studying accounting at University of Cape Town. She went to school at Girls College Bulawayo, Cheltenham Ladies' College and Stowe School. Chelsy, who wanted to be a model growing up, currently lives in her father’s gated villa in Cape Town, where she is frequently photographed and followed by eager reporters. The most frequent reports are of her driving around in her silver Mercedes-Benz, partying at clubs, and shopping.
Relationship with Harry
Harry and Chelsy were first photographed together in December of 2004, although their relationship is said to have started in the spring of that year. In his 21st birthday interview, Harry said "I would love to tell everyone how amazing she is but once I start talking about that, I have left myself open." Harry’s elder brother, Prince William, has supposedly told people that Harry and Chelsy are “very much in love.”Because Harry lives in England and Chelsy in South Africa, the two get to see each other only occasionally. When Chelsy visited Harry in April of 2006 to attend his passing out ball at Sandhurst, she was met at Heathrow by four armed guards who escorted her through the airport.
Chelsy is most often mentioned in the English press as being angry at Harry for his various antics. In April of 2006, she supposedly became upset at reports of him going to a strip club. In January of 2005, she supposedly scolded him for wearing a Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party. In June 2006, Harry was spotted with Natalie Pinkham, an old flame. As Natalie was leaving a friend's apartment building after a late night, she called out to Harry for him to give her a kiss. He told her he couldn't kiss her outside and she returned into the building, leading to speculation that the two kissed there. The pair were thought to be unaware of the hiding photographers outside.
In addition to the Pinkham incident, several other accusations of cheating were made during June and July 2006. The Daily Mail reported that a drunken Harry hit on Georgina Downie at nightclub Boujis only minutes after Chelsy had left. A masseuse, a Page 3 girl, and a single mother all told papers that Harry had either kissed or attempted to kiss them. The Daily Mail quoted an anonymous friend of Chelsy as saying "Chelsy is very angry. This new woman has upset her all over again. She warned Harry enough is enough." Nevertheless, all seemed fine with the couple when Chelsy turned out to watch Harry play polo on July 16.
Charles Davy and Robert Mugabe
Chelsy's father, millionaire safari operator in Zimbabwe Charles Davy, has come under fire for supposed ties with the dictator Robert Mugabe. He owns the company HHK Safaris, which controls five hunting concessions and fifteen camps. Hunting licenses in Zimbabwe are given out at the discretion of Mugabe's regime, with no transparent process. In June of 2005, Charles Davy spoke to ''The Daily Telegraph'' about his business partnership with Webster Shamu, an MP in Mugabe's Zanu-PF party. "I am in business with Mr Shamu and have been for five years," said Davy. "We have an excellent and honest business partnership. Why should this change? I am in business not politics." He also claimed that he had been hurt by Mugabe's land grabbing and had been forced to give up 140,000 acres to the government. Despite his interview with ''The Telegraph'', articles about Chelsy will still occasionally mention her father's ties with the government of Zimbabwe.References
