'''Wellington (Welly) Yang''' (Chinese traditional: 楊呈偉, Pinyin: '''Yang Ch'engwei''') is a Taiwanese American actor, playwright, and singer. He has starred in the Broadway shows Miss Saigon and Aladdin. Yang has also appeared in numberous television shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, As the World Turns, National Geographic Explorer and Ghostwriter. He is the founder and artistic director of Second Generation, an Asian American non-profit theater company. He is active in the Taiwanese American community and works closely with the Taiwanese United Fund (TUF).

Early life

Native of New York. Graduated from the Lawrenceville School (1990) and Columbia University (1994).
