She appeared as Inspector Harry Callahan's partner Kate Moore in the Dirty Harry film ''The Enforcer'' (1976).

She studied at Brandeis University and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Daly won several Emmy Awards for her work on ''Cagney & Lacey'' and ''Christy'', and she won a Tony Award for ''Gypsy''. She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Personal life

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Tyne Daly is the daughter of actor James Daly and the sister of actor Timothy Daly. She is also related to former game show host and newsman John Charles Daly.

Tyne Daly was married to actor/director Georg Stanford Brown from 1966 to 1990.
Tyne Daly is perhaps the most famous and respected of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy's (AMDA) graduates.
