'''Jason Kapono''' (born February 2 1981 in Long Beach, California) is a professional basketball player in the NBA currently with the Miami Heat. After a college career at UCLA, where he ranks third on UCLA’s all-time scoring list, as well as being the first Bruin to earn First Team All-Pac-10 honors all four years and the only UCLA player to lead school in scoring four straight years, Kapono was a second round draft choice of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2003 NBA Draft.At one point he was dubbed as a Future First rounder. After his rookie season with the Cavs, he was selected by the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2004 expansion draft, where he improved his scoring average from 3.5 to 8.5 points per game. Now his playing in the Miami Heat where his numbers and minutes have dropped. He currently wears the number 24. Kapono was a part of the 2005-2006 NBA Champion Miami Heat team.
