Ben Affleck grew up in Boston. He began acting before he hit double digits and it really wasn’t until he and pal Matt Damon became aligned with director Kevin Smith. Smith wrote Chasing Amy with Ben in mind for the part of Holden. Around this time, Ben and Matt started to write the screenplay for Good Will Hunting for which they won an Oscar. Since then he has had roles in Armageddon and Shakespeare in Love which helped him win the coveted role of People’s Sexist Man Alive in 2002.

In a tribute to his indie roots, Ben created Project Greenlight together with Matt Damon, Sean Bailey and Chris Moore, a screenwriting competition providing budding talents the opportunity to break it into the big time. On a personal note he has dated many Hollywood ladies such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez. He is now bethrothed to Jennifer Garner and they have a child together.
