Paris in Springtime, on the Cheap
We’re in the mood for love. Springtime can only mean one thing: Paris. No, not that Paris. The City of Lights. The city of shopping. The city of old men pinching your fanny as you walk down a crowded rue. And right now, you can get Paris (the city) for 5 nights for a mere $700. If discount romance offends you, read no further.
When I first became aware of this travel deal (thanks, Lee!), I had to sit down and take a dose of salts. Around the rim of a glass. At the risk of sounding like my dear friend Ron Popeil, I might expect to pay $700 a night for Paris; I might expect to pay even $500 a night; but $700 for nearly a week? Sacre bleu!
Even the wheezing-and-gasping-for-breath dollar can’t diminish the value of this travel package.
Apparently, the people at Air Tahiti Nui got sick of all the palm trees and sandy beaches and pure, unpolluted air of the south Pacific and said to themselves, “I think the cool, crowded streets of Paris are just what the doctor ordered. And, hey, why not let everyone else on this deal, too?”
So, they did.
Roundtrip airfare from L.A. (other cities available), five nights’ hotel (including tax), and daily breakfast. You can travel in April or May.
