With Hyperdating, Slutty is Trendy
I was born too soon. True, I got in on the tail end of the Free Love era, but even back then girls like myself — envied for our ability to attract suitors like obnoxious dogs to unguarded shin bones — could be unkindly characterized as “slutty” if we “dated” too often. Today, ten dates a week is becoming de rigeur.
Apparently, it’s a new trend called hyperdating. You hook up with someone via the Internet, and soon you’re texting frequently. Ultimately, this kind of behavior can lead to a real, live date — which, in turn, often pales in comparison to the fantasy IM world you’d created.
The possibilities of hyperdating boggle the mind. At lightning speed, you could try all different kinds of virtual dating personas to see which one attracts the type of man you want and/or need.
Need a rich guy? (Who doesn’t?) Give yourself the monicker “ChloeVonFurstenburg” and in your chat sessions, vaguely allude to the family diamond mine.
Want a polo player? Dub yourself “CandyRrrider” and gush about your “pony.”
Since finding the ideal mate is as much as matter of odds as it is about molding yourself into something resembling the woman you think your target male desires, hyperdating gives you the opportunity to dupe hundreds of men in the time it would normally take you to fool one or two. Who could ask for more than that?
