Hunter not Bitter, just Dyspeptic
Who could be happier about Rod Stewart’s impending nuptials than his soon-to-be-ex Rachel Hunter? Apparently, everyone.
Rachel, who not so long ago claimed she and Rod were still “good friends,” expresses no bitterness that Peggy Lancaster is picking up where she left off.
“I used to think marriage was so beautiful, but right now, it’s just one big ugly contract,” Rachel said dyspeptically. “It is all about money, what people can get.”
She says that like it’s a bad thing.
It saddens me that Rachel is so myopic she fails to see that the “beauty” of marriage lies in the money and “getting” of things.
What is more beautiful than a 20 carat diamond? What is more beautiful than a 2005 Jaguar XK8 Convertible? What is more beautiful than Tahiti as the sun sets?
Yes, marriage can, indeed, be a beautiful thing. If you have the smarts to reel in a rich rocker, anyway.
