Cabbie Matchmaker
When I take a cab I’m just hoping to make it to my destination in one piece. If you get into Ahmed Ibrahim’s cab you’re liable to get a date out of it aswell. The 50-year-old Egyptian immigrant sets up blind dates for his single passengers through a free matchmaking service he runs out of his yellow cab. He said he finds mates, or at least dates, for about eight people a week.
That would also be worth at least a 20% gratuity.
