This article reports that Friendster “has seen its unique users skyrocket in the last few months from 100,000 per day on August 1, to 600,000 per day by mid-September.”
1. Bad news for their IT department who has been scrambling to add new servers.
2. Great news for their balance sheet thanks to 500 million page views that command a flat rate advertising fee of $5000 / day.
