Avril Lavigne: new punk diva on the block
Did we really think Avril would stay ‘real’ forever? Two multiplatinum albums, wealth beyond belief, a home in the Hollywood Hills, a bonafide rock star boyfriend, pals with Paris and Nicky. It was inevitable, no? So last week Avril had pink paint poured all over her for a video shoot. When she went to try and wash it off, she noticed that some of it seeped through her new blonde locks and wouldn?t come out. Unfortunately, she was scheduled for a Cosmo cover the following day. The only way to fix the hair problem was to go back to brown…which she evidently didn’t want.
When you’re 19, and you’re totally in to yourself, and (gasp!) you don’t like your hair…it’s understandable to act like a total bitch, isn’t it? According to sources on the Cosmo shoot, Avril was pure torture…uncooperative, rude, and very, very demanding. At one point, she shut the entire crew out of the studio, closing the set for apparently no reason, only emerging after a lovey dovey cell phone conversation with Deryck. Isn’t funny how even the so-called tough, punk rock girls can change their moods on a whim when their boyfriends call???
