Yahoo! Personals Code of Conduct
Online dating site Yahoo! Personals has introduced a “code of conduct” that sucks every bit of joy out of what has quickly become our favorite international pastime: searching for our soulmate on the Internet.
I don’t know who these Yahoo! people think they are, but just look at what they now require their users to agree to:
“I am single.” Oh, for heaven’s sake! Of course I’m not single! Yet.
“I will do my best to present the true me in both pictures and words.” Good grief! I’ll never land a man that way.
“I will not post offensive material.” Does this include webcam shots of my silken orbs?
I am not happy about this. Obviously, I’ll be forced to go over to Yahoo! Personals and delete my profiles of Candy Appels, Lolita Grandshagsky and Emily Hamilton-Rigdale. And then I’m taking my business elsewhere. Humph.
